If you are anything like me than I am sure you have lots of things on your mind and you want your portraits to look the best. Now, who wouldn’t like to have gorgeous wall portrait of their family on the walls or that cute, cuddly face of your baby on the wall? This whole desire can create some stress, especially when you have to coordinate with your family.
Stress is a killer of your portrait session because your images will show that in your expressions.
Let’s meet and talk at the location where you are comfortable
That is where my pre session consultation comes into play. I would like to meet with you at the location of your choice – your home, coffee shop, Skype or just a phone call if in person is hard to plan for.
Let me understand what type of portraits you like and which ones you don’t
Bring all your questions and concerns and let me answer them to help reduce your stress so that when you come to the session you know exactly what to expect. I rely a lot on my experience to have a chat with you to understand what kind of portraits you love, what kind of style you like, what is your preference as far as clothing is concerned.
Allow me to suggest what to wear
Once I hear what style of portraits you need, eg. formal, casual, fashion, happy, fun, dramatic, and anything else your want, I can make better suggestions for the style of clothing that will make your personalities shine through your images.
How will you use your portraits?
During our pre session consultation I will also learn how you plan to use your portraits, like over mantle, on the wall, coffee table album, social media, or something else.
I will help you overcome your fears so that you enjoy your portrait session
May be you feel shy to have an outdoor portrait session or may be you don’t feel comfortable or secure, or something I hear often from other clients is that their photos don’t come out good. No matter what your fears are I will help to overcome them so that you have an awesome experience during the portrait shoot. Most importantly, I want you to have fun and remember our shoot as a rare occasion.
All in all, I encourage you to have an open communication and express your hesitation so that I can come up with a plan to make your portrait shoot a very very special occasion.
